About
Over the last 20 years I’ve grown from an individual contributor to a director, overseeing UX, UI, motion and copy with a team spread across the globe. Recently I’ve been working on app based and wearable AI driven health and wellness products. Prior to health I, focused on OTT streaming video delivery products. I have a large network of LA, SF and Seattle based UX, UI and motion designers. I build highly successful design teams by prioritizing and investing time in training and nurturing talent. As a group, we continuously learn and push each other to grow new skills. I partner with product and development to maintain the highest possible experience for our customers. I’ve worked at movie studios, agencies and in-house as design leadership at two Fortune 10 companies.
I moved to Los Angeles to attend CalArts, fell in love with the city and never left.

Managed team of UX and UI designers working on software and hardware for Amazon’s fitness technology. Worked with product, engineering and marketing to create AI and computer-vision-enabled consumer products. Hired and developed world class design team. AT&T/DIRECTV, Associate Director UX

Director UX/UI on DIRECTV NOW, a streaming OTT service with over 1 million subscribers. Work alongside product, development and usability testing to produce next-generation OTT experiences for mobile, tablet, 10ft, wearables and VR. Work in Agile methodology to continuously deliver. Lead a team of eight UX and UI designers of all levels. I mentor UX, UI and motion designers to reach their professional goals. I build collaborative teams across disciplines and departments to create the best product possible. Work to maintain consistent UX across Android, iOS, tvOS, Roku, Tizen, Fire TV, UWP and Xbox. Led team of fifteen visual and UX designers creating next-generation interactive television. Worked closely with clients to develop products. Created design and animation for set-top boxes, touch screens, video games, commercials, Web sites and hand-held devices. Developed storyboards, mockups and prototypes. Managed staff and freelance After Effects and 3D animators, designers, UX leads, art directors, UX designers, copywriters and editors on multiple projects. Worked closely with user experience and engineering through all stages of product development. Clients included Cablevision, Comcast, PlayStation 4, Microsoft, Target, Dell, Bungie, Reuters and Mitsubishi Motors.
Fox Sports, Senior Broadcast Designer/Art Director
2/03-8/08
Designed graphics packages for two Super Bowls and four World Series. Art director on 2006 “NFL on FOX” package. Designer on 2004 MLB package. Created and managed daily show segment animation. Designed graphics for every sport on Fox, Fox Sports Networks and Fuel. Directed live shoots. Worked with Blur and Rezn8 to produce high-end 3D animation. Drew robots and mascot characters by hand.
